Our People
Hennie Smith - Managing Director
Hennie joined the South African Police Service in 1993 and served as a Sergeant for 7 years attached to the Crime Prevention Unit. During his time attached to the unit, he worked extensively with informants, gathering intelligence, and combating serious crimes with great success. After leaving the South African Police Service, he joined Gestetner, the second largest office automation supplier in the world as a senior consultant and 6 years later Matrix Vehicle Tracking as a senior consultant. During the 8 years he spent as a consultant with Gestetner and Matrix, he obtained valuable sales, marketing, and managerial skills.
In 2010 he joined Tanzanite One Mining Ltd, the world’s largest supplier of the precious gemstone Tanzanite, at their mining site based in Tanzania. As Security Manager he successfully managed over 200 security personnel. He was closely involved in combating illegal mining activities with great success.
After leaving Tanzanite One Ltd at the end of 2013, he spent some time combatting piracy in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea. He returned to South-Africa joining TSU Protection Services (PTY) Ltd. as the Operational Team Leader for the Anglo American, Kumba Iron Ore Close Protection Team. He was involved as a firearm instructor and in the training of crowd and public order management. He was frequently deployed as team leader on Close Protection, Crowd Control and Tactical Operations. Since 2017 Hennie also holds the position of Operations Manager for Allied African International Mining Company Ltd., and Minutor Mining & Exploration Services Ltd. based in Nigeria.

Hennie holds a Grade A registration with the Private Security Industry Regulating Authority of South-Africa and is registered with the South African Professional Firearm Training Council as an Advanced level firearm instructor.
Instructors
Our instructors served in the famed SAPS Special Task Force where they received training in Hostage Release, Rural Operations, Survival, Executive Protection, Emergency Diving, Improvised Explosives and Devices, Sniper, Advanced Driving, and other specialized training.
After completing their instructors’ courses, they worked as instructors in the SAPS Special Task Force involved in weapons phase, rural, survival, sniping, PTI and parachuting phase.
Serving over a decade in the SAPS Special Task Force they gained vast knowledge and experience in Tactical Operations both Urban and Rural as well as Executive Protection Operations. They spent close to a decade in Iraq where the gained even more experience as PSD Operators, Team Leaders, and Operations Managers.
They went into training fulltime in 2015 using their expertise gained over a period of 20 years working operationally and training both locally and abroad.
Our instructors are registered Assessors and Moderators with SASSETA for more than 250 Unit Standards that includes Executive Protection and Advance Driving Unit Standards, both Offensive and Defensive. They are Advance Level Instructors and Training Counsellors with ITA (International Firearm Training Academy), as well as registered PFTC Assessors and Moderators.
